For your first major summative assessment in 9/10 English, please write Dr. B two paragraphs (with little-to-no errors in spelling, punctuation, and grammar) that discusses your book's theme and uses two quotes correctly. Discuss the explicit and implicit meanings of both of your quotes AND use colons and apostrophes correctly. Students who score a 3 ("Meets") on this assessment will show mastery of the following learning targets:
RL1, "I can use evidence to support my ideas."
RL2, "I can analyze theme."
L2, "I can use colons and apostrophes correctly."
Lastly, don't forget to write neatly and if you can, write in cursive.
Essay 1A Score - 8: Essay 1A had a fairly strong opening, and was a long essay that blended describing the speaker's attitude toward the person he cannot look upon, as well as describing how the form and diction of the poem further emphasize these feelings.
ReplyDeleteEssay 1B Score - 6: The intro helped us to understand what we were about to read, and described mostly how the form, imagery and diction was full of hidden meaning, as well as a few literary devices.
Essay 1C Score - 2: Essay 1C mainly talked about the literary devices of the poem.
