Bell Ringer Activity:
1) Watch Prince Ea's video on "LOVE" and respond to his message: What does LOVE mean? What does it mean when a person says, "I love you?" What message is Prince Ea trying to send?

Love means that you care for one another. If you love someone you should love them for who they are and you shouldn't try to change them. When you say I love you, it means that you care for the person you are saying I love you to. When you say I love you you should mean it. The message that Prince Ea is trying to send is that you need to know how to love because if you don't, you will destroy it. That means if you aren't loving someone out of caring and you are just trying to control them, you are destroying love.
ReplyDeleteI think what Prince Ea is trying to say is love is not about loving someone that your in a relationship in or loving your family, Love is about caring about people that care/love you. Lets say your in a committed relationship and you LOVE them but then you break up with them, you don't love them, you hate a despise them like nothing happened. Personally I think that people shouldn't pick and choose who they love they should love them for who they are and not what you think they are.
ReplyDeleteAnother thing is,Is you don't pick who your friends with your friends with everyone even if you don't have a good connection with them. If your not "friends" anymore and they "break up" with you I think there looking for attention, But they also may be because they came from a family they didn't accept them for who they are.
DeleteIt means you actually have feelings for each other and there is no anger or hatred towards each other. He is trying to say in order to love we have to accept our flaws in order to accept others and learn to love ourselves to love others.
ReplyDeleteLove means when you care and have a passion for someone, you can love someone who doesn't love you back. When a person says "I love you" it means they care about you, unless they're fake and don't really mean it and they just want to be in a relationship. I don't get what his point is, he is just talking about love, I don't need to hear him talk about love.
ReplyDeleteIf you love something, don't set it free. Give it the option to be free. Love is not meant to be a selfish thing, it is a growing thing that can flourish as long as you can love yourself. Just like Prince Ea says, "In order to love others we have to at first love ourselves." We can't just fall in love we have to "let love fall into you." - Prince Ea.

DeleteIn Prince Ea's video "LOVE" he saying that getting two people to love each other is one of the most powerfully things in the world and its something we all thrive for.
ReplyDeleteI think that love is not real. People make love out to be this great thing, but its really just a bunch of chemicals acting in your brain. The guy in the video thinks he knows everything there is to know about love but he doesn't.

ReplyDeleteWhat Prince Ea is saying is that loving someone is respecting someone and their decisions to the point where its not a possessive and attached relationship. And it comes down to who they are, not who's boyfriend/girlfriend they are.
ReplyDeleteWhat I think Prince Ea is trying to say is that love isn't always what's on facebook or what people make up. I guess love can mean lots of different things it just depends on what you've experienced or what people have told you. I think love is when you really care about someone, but it can be different though.

ReplyDeleteLove, according to Prince Ea, means you should love yourself. Loving yourself will allow you to love other people, and won't be angry when someone stops loving you. When someone says, "I love you," it means they like someone for who they are and accept their flaws. Prince Ea is trying to send the message that love feels good, but we don't really know what it is.

He also says when you break up with someone you love you automatically don't love them anymore and your feelings turn to hatred which is is wrong in my opinion, just because you stop seeing this person doesn't mean you don't care about them anymore.

Sometimes when a person says "I love you", it doesn't mean anything bc it is easier to say you love them to show you love them. Prince ea is trying to say that people need to start using love more as a feeling and not just another word in there vocabulary.

ReplyDeleteWhile watching this video it really made me think, what exactly can be considered "love"? Is it the loyalty between a significant other, the compassion between family members, the bond between friends or the confidence one can hold within themselves? My point being, Prince Ea mentions, you can't love someone else until you learn to love yourself, I truly believe in that statement. Honestly, this question is difficult to answer because 'love' can mean different things to various types of people. Personally to me, I believe that love is a strong word, I believe that when you're in a commitment you should not use the word "love" loosely. As we've noticed the word is thrown around this generation as if it has no meaning to it at all. When really love, is the most precious thing you can experience in and out of relationships. According to the dictionary love is "an intense feeling of deep affection". In this generation I truly believe that love and lust are often mixed and many are mistaken for lust, not love.
